Perish draws in seductively the genres goth rock, drone and new wave to visualize the troubles of mental health, struggling to comes to terms with the monstrous thoughts and finding a release for the angered, distressed emotions. The song also discusses the dangers of the disastrous side effects when we’re not given the opportunity to express ourselves, in seeking of help. Shiver in the nature of goth rock, cold-wave and neoclassical, once again using the strange, yet beautiful energies of Dead Can Dance discusses the subject of erotica and sexual desire.

Crimson Waves amends quickly into dark wave, with moments of cold-wave, however is faster paced to the previous two tracks, the nature of the lyrics are hauntingly macabre for they speak of not just depression, but suicidal thoughts and from the perspective of someone witnessing a loved one give in. Fearless contrasts from the previous three tracks, for becoming enthusiastic if not up-beat to contrast the lyrical disorder, for the protagonist can’t decide whether she wants to break free from or submit to her kinky sexual fantasies. In essence, Fearless incarcerates both Siouxsie and the Banshees and Hate Sex, the latter for the ironic fearless discussion of female sexual identity.
